BTS leader RM (real name Kim Nam-joon) will be delivering a keynote speech at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit, a side event of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting that is being held in Gyeongju.
It was reported that RM is set to speak on the second day of the APEC CEO Summit on 29 October at 3 PM at the Gyeongju Arts Center. His 10-minute presentation will be on the theme “Cultural and Creative Industries in the APEC Region and the Soft Power of K-Culture.”
The specific details of his speech have not yet been disclosed.
RM will be the first K-pop artiste ever to appear as a speaker at the APEC CEO Summit. However, this is not the first time that the rapper has given a speech at a global event.
Back in 2018, RM gave a speech at the UNICEF Youth Agenda event held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The official APEC website introduced RM as an artiste who has “the ability to expand the boundaries of creation through a flexible and philosophical approach to music and cutting-edge collaborations.”
