Stray Kids’ Seungmin is celebrating his 25th birthday by making a generous donation.
On 22 September, ChildFund Korea, a major South Korean child welfare organisation, announced that Seungmin had donated KRW 100 million (approximately USD 75,000) to the organisation.
“I hope that children who have to endure hardships for the sake of their families at a young age can find a moment of relief,” Seungmin expressed. “I want to help lighten the burden on their shoulders, even just a little, and give them the strength to dream about their future.”
The donation will go toward various programmes, including support for family caregivers, emergency living expenses, independent living assistance, and educational support.
This isn’t Seungmin’s first charitable act. For his birthday last year, he also donated the same generous amount to support young people preparing for independence through the same foundation. In April, he and his fellow Stray Kids members donated KRW 800 million to support emergency relief for wildfire victims in the Ulsan region.
