Na Ying’s husband Meng Tong has recently dismissed rumours that he is cheating on the singer with a younger woman.
The whole cheating allegation sparked recently, after tabloids released a video titled “Is Na Ying’s marriage in trouble?” In the video, Meng Tong can be seen with a long-haired woman, who was clinging to his arms, and at one point resting her head on his shoulder. The Beijing bar owner can be seen intoxicated, as the two got into a car and returned to Na Ying’s villa.
The singer herself was revealed to not have been at home at the time, and was accompanying her daughter who is studying in the UK.
Following the news, Meng Tong denied the infidelity, stating that he was celebrating a friend’s store opening and needed help getting into the car due to a foot injury.
The woman, a neighbour and longtime friend he said, had given him a ride.
He admitted his inappropriate behaviour, apologised, and promised to be more careful with his words and actions in the future. Netizens, however, questioned Meng Tong’s explanation and expressed suspicion over the whole thing.
Na Ying has not commented on the incident.
The singer tied the knot with Meng Tong in 2006, following her divorce from footballer husband Gao Feng the year prior amid allegations of the latter’s cheating. Na Ying has said marrying Meng Tong was the wisest decision she ever made, leading some netizens to worry about her suffering another emotional setback.
