Myolie Wu recently expressed hope that people will stop obsessing on her husband Philip Lee’s activities, after it was recently reported that the businessman is back at the nightclub scene.
The actress, who spoke to the media at a fashion event in Hong Kong, said that people wouldn’t have cared what her husband does if not for a fact that he is married to her.
“If he were married to someone else, no one would care. He’s never needed to report his whereabouts to me. We both know each other’s character and routines very well. Anyone who knows him understands the kind of person he is,” she said.
It is noted that Philip made the news back in March after photos of him hugging several women at a nightclub were released online. He was no longer seen at such a place until recently.
“He’s always been well-behaved. He hugs everyone, men, women, even elderly people. It’s just that people choose to talk about it. So to me, it’s really no big deal,” she added, saying that changing such behaviour will only make it seem like he is guilty of something.
On the other hand, the actress said that she has been working in mainland China most of the time and returns to Hong Kong whenever she has the time.
“At my age now, the roles are more challenging. It’s better to play roles that are close to my age. I don’t have to be the heroine. The most important thing is that the role is suitable, does not require me to leave home for too long, and the fee is reasonable,” she said.
