Mag Lam, who has rarely made public appearances in recent years, sparked serious concern after she suddenly went live on social media in the early hours of 24 September for about 30 seconds.
During the livestream in what appeared to be a hospital, she appeared highly emotional and distressed, repeatedly claiming someone was trying to kill her and urging viewers to save the video.
In the live video, Mag was visibly panicked, breathing heavily, and shouting, “He had an accident… he’s calling… because I’m in the spirit, I can hear what he’s doing! Only the two of us know, only the two of us! Save this video, just save it! If anything happens, if I die, it’s okay if I die, but know who the murderer is! He wants to kill me… he wants to kill me…”

Meanwhile, a foreign man, sitting in the corner of the room, attempted to calm her down, while a woman’s voice in English could also be heard asking, “What are you doing?” before the livestream then abruptly ended.
Her manager has since responded to the media, expressing gratitude for their concern. The manager stated that Mag is currently safe and had attended a church sharing session in the UK. She had been planning to return to Hong Kong, but her flight was cancelled due to a typhoon in Hong Kong. Worried about her mother and pet dog back home, she became distraught when she was unable to board the flight. A pastor arranged for her to be admitted to a hospital emergency room to help calm her down.
The man in the video is reportedly a church member, and the pastor and his wife were also present at the hospital.
When asked about Mag’s claims that the man was trying to kill her, the manager explained that she may have woken up disoriented in the hospital, not recognising her surroundings.
The manager also stated that Mag’s return to Hong Kong would depend on her condition after being examined by local doctors.
