Australia-based singer JessC has been recognised at the InterContinental Music Awards 2025 (ICMA) in Los Angeles, winning “Best Asian Pop” for her song “My Style.” The award adds to her recent activity across multiple markets following the release of three albums in Mandarin, Malay, and English in the first half of this year.
The ICMA recognises global music creators through an international panel of industry professionals from the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa. The jury includes producers and songwriters who have collaborated with artists such as Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Selena Gomez, Ricky Martin, and Westlife. JessC’s winning entry was noted for its originality, artistic expression, and cross-cultural appeal. ICMA recognition provides winners with international exposure and potential opportunities for larger platforms, including consideration for the Grammy Awards.
JessC’s Mandarin album “My Style” has gained traction on China’s streaming platforms and radio stations, while her Malay album “Dekati” created a “JessC Fever” in Indonesia with its diverse musical styles. Her English single “Six Feet Deep” received radio airplay on Z-100 New York, Virgin Radio Vancouver, and KIIS FM Sydney, and has been featured by over 250 U.S. media outlets, including ABC and NBC.
The singer is preparing for a global promotion campaign for her upcoming single “One Chance,” beginning in major U.S. cities this September and continuing across Europe and South America. The campaign aims to reach 50 countries and 100 cities by year-end.
