Dylan Wang’s camp recently reiterated their stance, that they will not be accepting any attempt to mediate the issue regarding the secret recording of Dylan and a mystery woman that has gone viral recently.
The actor’s studio shared the statement recently, after a fan leaked a 27-minute recording of Dylan arguing with a woman that many speculated to be his girlfriend.
“We do not accept any form of reconciliation or mediation. We will not tolerate any illegal behaviour,” it said.
Chinese legal experts have recently weighed in on the issue, stating that the said netizen has violated several laws, including recording someone without their consent in a private space, and publicising the recording (which constitutes a breach of the Personal Information Protection Law).
That netizen had since muted their social media account, but stated that they understood the reaction. Prior to this, the netizen stressed their innocence, saying that the argument was loud enough that it can be heard in the corridor outside the room.
On the other hand, the recording of the argument has now won Dylan many fans, with netizens praising him for remaining composed throughout the whole thing. Some also believed that it was not a lovers’ quarrel but a work misunderstanding.
