Legendary rock band Toto delivered an electrifying one-night-only performance in Malaysia on 1 May, transforming the Labour Day public holiday into an unforgettable rock fiesta at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting.
Fresh from their successful tour across Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, the American rock icons took the Malaysian stage by storm at 6:35pm, opening with the instrumental classic “Child’s Anthem.” The powerful intro immediately set the tone for the evening, with the audience buzzing with excitement.

The multi-Grammy winning American band, first formed in 1977 in Los Angeles, delivered a spectacular almost two-hour performance that transported the audience back to the golden era of 80s & 90s rock. Original members Steve Lukather (guitar/vocals) and Joseph Williams (vocals) led an all-star lineup of world-class musicians, including Greg Phillinganes (keyboards/vocals), Shannon Forrest (drums), John Pierce (bass), Warren Ham (horns/percussion/vocals), and Dennis Atlas (keyboards/vocals).
Fans sang along word-for-word to timeless hits throughout the night. The crowd’s energy reached new heights during “Rosanna,” when Steve Lukather encouraged the audience to rise to their feet and they sang along with passionate enthusiasm.

During the performance of “I’ll Be Over You,” the arena transformed into a sea of twinkling lights as fans raised their phone flashlights, swaying in perfect unison.
The most enchanting moment came during the closing number when the opening notes of “Africa” prompted Joseph Williams to invite everyone to stand and sing along. The audience needed no encouragement, as they were already on their feet, dancing and singing every verse of the beloved anthem that holds a special place in their hearts.
Organised by UnUsUaL Entertainment, this one-night-only concert was a true rock fiesta.
