Daniel Wu has recently expressed his ire with the US trade war with China by sharing photos of a urinal.
On 11 April, the California-born actor posted two images of the urinal in Puyuan, China, including a sign above the said fixture that has the image of a person urinating that read, “One small step forward, one giant leap for civilisation”.
He wrote, “These tariffs are idiotic and the people who think they will help America are even more idiotic. BUT here is one thing all men can do to make this world a better place. Just take one small step forward. Just do it bro.”

His post had since received a lot of positive feedback from his Chinese fans, with one writing, “Puyuan should pay you an advertising fee.”
US President Trump’s trade war with China this year sparked as early as February when he increased the tariffs on China by 10 percent, to which China responded with a 15 percent tariff on coal and liquified natural gas products, and 10 percent on crude oil, agricultural machinery and large-displacement cars.
It has now escalated following Trump’s “Liberation Day” on 2 April, where he announced his reciprocal tariffs list against other countries. Since 12 April, China has increased American import tariffs to 125 percent in response to Trump’s 145 percent.
