Grace Chan has recently denied the notion that she and good friend Jess Sum have fallen out in recent years, after many noticed that the two have not been seen together for a while now.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who attended an event recently, stated that they still connect and meet up privately instead of showing their friendship in public.

“I’ve seen so many rumours — sometimes it’s about me getting divorced, or that I’m pregnant with a fourth child. I believe love and care are important, and I hope people stop spreading false rumours. Even if they’re untrue, others reading them may feel uncomfortable,” she said.

Grace said that it is not good for her children to be exposed to rumours about their parents and that she feels a sense of responsibility to guide the next generation properly.

On the other hand, the actress said that she is launching her first English picture storybook in Canada next month.

“I’ve loved reading since I was a child. I even used to sneak a flashlight under the covers to read at night, which is why I ended up with near-sightedness by the age of 10,” she said.

However, Grace said that publishing a book does not mean she is switching careers from actor to writer.
