Producer Yu Zheng is quick to turn on his actor He Jianqi, after the latter was accused of cheating.
As reported on Epoch Times, the issue sparked earlier after a woman claiming to be He’s biggest supporter said that the actor cheated on her with other women.
The said woman, who said to have met He through a director, alleged that she frequently sent gifts during his livestreams amounting to RMB150,000 before they finally became an item. However, she was surprised to find that the actor had actually been going out with multiple women.
She also shared alleged screenshots of her conversation with He, saying that while he might be a good actor, He is not a good man.
As the allegations turned viral, many went to producer Yu Zheng’s social media to ask his next course of action, seeing that he has cast He in his new drama, “Yu Ming Cha Gu”. Yu immediately clarified that the actor is not one of the leads but was only set to make a guest appearance.
“But if it needs to be changed, just change it,” he said, adding that the industry is too tough and that they can’t risk anything.
The producer also said that he had already heard related rumours, but that He himself has firmly denied it.
While netizens applauded his decision, some questioned Yu, saying that people seem to be able to easily ruin an actor’s chance with just one allegation on social media.
