After months and months of speculations, Chen Xiao and Michelle Chen finally confirmed that they are now divorced.
Sharing the news on a joint statement via social media, the former couple posted, “We are grateful to have met each other. We wish each other all the best for the future.”
“We will continue to be parents for our child and accompany him together as he grows up,” they added.
The couple met and fell in love on the set of “The Return of the Condor Heroes” and tied the knot in July 2016. They welcomed their son Chen Muchen in the same year.
Rumours of divorce sparked last year and continued to refuel after Chen Xiao was absent from Michelle’s father funeral.
