Sandra Ng has been selected to be the Filmmaker in Focus at this year’s 46th Hong Kong International Film Festival.

As reported on Mingpao, the film festival will be releasing ten of Sandra’s noteworthy films to be screened throughout the festival, including “Love is Love”, “The Inspector Wears Skirts”, “Dance of a Dream”, and her latest pic, “From Zero to Hero”.

Said HKIFF director Albert Lee, “Sandra Ng has always dared to challenge different roles, from an inclusive prostitute, a gang leader, to a loving mother, with delicate acting skills to present the extraordinary level of ordinary characters. The transformation of her acting career has witnessed the rise and fall of mainstream movies in Hong Kong.”

“With the ups and downs of the industry, she has become one of the most influential actresses in the Chinese region by relying on female sense and personal will. We are honoured to invite her to be the focus of the 46th Hong Kong International Film Festival.”

Sandra, who is also the highest grossing actress in Hong Kong film history, will also be attending the festival, where she will be sharing her experience working in the industry.
