Malaysian singer-songwriter Zee Avi has recently teamed up with Filipino performers Inigo Pascual and Sam Concepcion to release a new song titled, “RISE”.

The singer, who also collaborated with Grammy Award-winning R&B singer Eric Bellinger, Manila-based producer Moophs, and BTS’ “Black Swan” composer Vince Nantes in creating the cross-cultural single to uplift everybody during the tough times, stated that she was in love with the lyrics the first time she heard it.

“It makes you question but also leaves a sense of hope for all of us during this time. RISE is such a simple word, yet it’s something that we need to keep reminding ourselves of,” she added.
