Fans will be excited to find that CL may be reunited with her group’s past producer, Teddy Park soon.
On 29 October, Teddy’s agency, THEBLACKLABEL announced that they are “currently discussing an exclusive contract with CL.”
If CL signs with the label, it will mark her reunion with Teddy after approximately seven years since ending her exclusive contract with YG in 2019.
It is noted that Teddy was one of the key figures who worked alongside CEO Yang Hyun-suk on the launch of 2NE1 from the very beginning, serving as YG’s representative producer. Furthermore, 2NE1’s representative hit songs, including “I Don’t Care” and “Come Back Home” were also produced by Teddy.
THEBLACKLABEL is currently home to performers like BIGBANG’s Taeyang, BLACKPINK’s Rose, Jeon Somi, MEOVV, ALLDAY PROJECT and Park Bogum.
