It has been confirmed that the person who made a threat to Han Ji-min is also the same person who was previously sentenced for stalking Han Ji-min’s boyfriend, Jannabi member Choi Jung-hoon.
On 17 October, the actress’ agency BH Entertainment confirmed the information, following the trial involving Han and the woman in question (known only as A).
The day prior, Judge Lee Ye-rim of the 27th Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Court sentenced A, who was indicted on charges of intimidation and defamation against Han Ji-min, to a fine of KRW 6 million.
Regarding the reasons for sentencing, the court explained, “The defendant publicly posted insulting comments, claiming that the victim’s dating rumours were false, and issued threats by demanding the publication of a breakup announcement and the suspension of social media activities.”
This is not the first time A has committed such offenses. Previously, A posted hundreds of secret comments on Choi Jung-hoon’s blog, containing profanity, demands for private meetings, death threats, and text and photos that were intended to cause sexual humiliation. Additionally, A was sued for stalking behaviour, such as visiting the vicinity of the agency building.
She was identified soon after, and provisional measures, such as a restraining order, were issued to protect the victim.
