Sano Yudai is taking a break from INI due to health concerns.
The news was announced by the group’s official website on 18 September, stating, “Since [Sano] had been consulting medical institutions for health reasons, after careful consideration of his current condition and discussions with him, we decided that prioritising his recovery is essential, and he will be suspending his activities from today until further notice.”
The statement added, “We will provide an update on the timing of his return. We sincerely apologise to all fans and stakeholders for concern and inconvenience. We sincerely ask for your continuing support.”
This means that the 25-year-old singer will also be absent from events related to INI’s ninth single, “Anthem” that will begin on 17 October.
INI is a global boy group formed in 2021 with 11 members selected by viewer votes via season 2 of the reality show, “PRODUCE 101 JAPAN.” They celebrated their 5th anniversary on 13 June of this year.
