Jennie Kim is the latest BLACKPINK member to have apologised for the recent 10th anniversary fan event, which was highly-criticised by fans and netizens alike.
In a message posted on Weverse on 17 August, the singer – who had just concluded her festival appearances – apologised for the lateness of her response, explaining that she had wanted to wait until her schedule was free before addressing the issue.
She then expressed her gratitude, saying, “Over the past 10 years, thanks to all of you, I’ve been given precious moments that I will never be able to experience again. Every moment, the love shared by BLINK allowed all of us to grow and envision an even bigger future.”

She then apologised, saying, “On a day when we should have shared nothing but celebration for our 10th anniversary, we ended up leaving each other with some disappointment. From my perspective, all I can say is that I’m truly sorry, and there are no excuses.”
“For all of us in BLACKPINK, BLINK has been our greatest blessing and our greatest love. I’m sorry for showing you an immature side of myself, and I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for these past 10 years,” she added.
Jisoo was the first to apologise for the lacklustre event, which was abruptly held for only 40 fans at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan District on 8 August.
Rosé followed suit on 11 August, with Lisa releasing her apology statement on 14 August.
