Kim Woo-bin is finally returning with a new drama following last year’s “Genie, Make a Wish”.
On 5 August, tvN revealed that “Gifted,” directed by Kim Kyu-tae and Ham Seung-hoon, and starring Kim Woo-bin, is scheduled to air in the second half of the year.
The series depicts the story of a former professional baseball pitching coach who gains special abilities after an unexpected accident. He then takes on the role of head coach for a high school baseball team ranked last in the nation.
The drama is based on the Kakao Webtoon series of the same name and Kim will play the coach, Jung Min-yong.
Said the actor’s rep, “He will portray the growth and changes experienced by Jung Min-yong in a multi-dimensional way, with his signature deep emotional acting and weighty presence.”
