Liu Yuning recently revealed that he nearly didn’t make it to Huang Zitao’s wedding due to the confidential nature of the event.
In a recent livestream, the actor shared with his fans some titbits about Tao and Xu Yiyang’s wedding reception, saying that he and his assistant circled around for half an hour looking for the location on the day of the event.
He said that when his assistant got out of the car and questioned the staff there, they refused to provide any information, citing “wedding confidentiality” as the reason.
Liu said that he had no choice and eventually had to get out of the car to identify himself so that the staff would give him direction.
When a fan asked him why he wasn’t the best man, Liu responded, “I can’t be best man. I am embarrassed to say that.”
It is noted that according to the Chinese traditional customs, the best man is required to be unmarried. Liu had previously admitted that he was married for a short time prior to his showbiz career.
As for the online rumour that Tao’s wedding door gifts included an iPhone 17, Liu jokingly said that when he first opened the gift box after returning home, he was disappointed, saying, “I was like, ‘Where is the phone! Who spread the rumour?'”
