Kunda Hsieh has been released on a NTD 500,000 bail following his arrest by the police to assist in the investigation on military evasion.
The Energy member, who was detained as soon as he arrived home from Canada, was taken to Yonghe Police Station, where he was interrogated for two hours and then transferred to the New Taipei District Prosecutors Office for further questioning.
In an interview after posting bail, Kunda stated that he is “sorry to disappoint so many people,” and that he will take full responsibility and fully cooperate with the investigation.
According to sources, Kunda admitted to paying NTD 200,000 to 300,000 to a man named Chen to falsify his medical report to seem like he had high blood pressure.
Kunda missed the 22 October questioning due to him being in Canada at the time. He was one of the five celebrities nabbed in the case, that include actors Chen Bo-lin and Hsiu Chieh-kai.
