Following the devastating news about Miho Nakayama’s passing, her agency recently released a statement saying that the death was “an unfortunate accident”.

On 8 December, following the autopsy conducted by the authorities, Big Apple released a statement saying that there was no signs of foul play leading to Miho’s demise.

“It has been ruled that Nakayama died as a result of an accident that occurred while she was taking a bath,” the agency stated.

According to police investigation, Miho did not show up at Shinagawa Station as scheduled at noon on 6 December. When the staff went to her home, they found her lying in the bathtub with no signs of life. There was still water in the bathtub at the time, and the body was in a sitting position.

“While we are all deeply saddened by this sudden tragedy, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the warm support and consideration we have received from all of you,” the agency added.

The company also revealed that it will not disclose the specific time and location of the funeral, but will consider setting up a memorial place where relatives, friends and fans can come to pay tribute.
