Kentaro Sakaguchi’s camp has recently dismissed the issue surrounding the actor’s marriage, amid reports that the police were called to his house following a marital conflict.
On 29 September, Tristone Entertainment released a statement saying that it was concerned over the reports about Kentaro, adding, “It seems that speculative slander based on the article and content that is different from the facts are spreading.”
“Kentaro Sakaguchi is usually a very gentle person, and there is no fact that he used violence against the other party,” it added.
The company also warned of possible legal action against those who spread misinformation about the issue.
On 28 September, Josei Seven reported that an emergency call was made late at night, and that the police were sent to the actor and his wife’s home where an argument had supposedly intensified.
However, no arrests were reported.
The issue came less than two weeks after Kentaro announced his marriage. His wife, it was reported, is a hair and makeup artist who is three years his senior, whom he met on the set of a drama.
