Stars have recently taken to social media to mourn the loss of renowned musician, Liu Huan.
Liu Huan’s wife, Lu Lu, shared the sad news online, writing, “My eternal love, my eternal pain.” Reports stated that the singer died on 25 September in Shanghai, surrounded by family.
Sun Li, who starred in “The Legend of Zhen Huan,” for which Liu Huan composed many of its songs, expressed her sadness over the loss, writing on Weibo, “The phoenix soars high, its wings fluttering, disappearing without a trace. Listen to the gentle rain pattering on the paulownia leaves, swaying in the wind, and memories linger.”

Meanwhile, Na Ying, who worked with Liu as a coach on “The Voice of China,” thanked Liu Huan for all the memories they shared throughout their time in the industry.
As for Harlem Yu, who also worked on the same show, he posted, “I’m so shocked. Teacher Liu, may you rest in peace.”
Born in Tianjin in August 1963, Liu Huan was most known for the song, “Heroes’ Song,” which was the theme for “The Water Margin,” released in 1998. Among his other hit songs include, “Young Ambition Knows No Sorrow, and “Asking Myself A Thousand Times.”
Aside from his music, Liu Huan also taught Western music history before his retirement from academia in 2023.
He was 63.
