Song Won-geun is set to tie the knot.

On 11 August, the actor personally announced his marriage through a handwritten letter on his social media, stating, “I have met someone I want to spend my life with, and I intend to start a new life with that person.”

The 43-year-old actor continued, “Before I knew it, I reached an age where the term ‘old bachelor’ suited me, but now I am finally shedding that label. It feels a bit surreal to me, and above all, I am truly happy.”

He continued by expressing his gratitude to his fans, saying, “Looking back, the fact that I have been able to walk the path of an actor until now was possible because of all of you who have always supported me with unwavering hearts. Therefore, the gratitude I have received from you is too immense to simply say ‘I am happy’ as I stand before this new beginning of marriage.”

He added, “Marriage is a new beginning in my life, but just as I am now, I will continue to learn more, contemplate more deeply, and walk the path even more diligently so that I can meet you through good works and good acting. I sincerely thank you for always believing in me and supporting me. Please stay healthy, and I hope your days are filled with laughter and happiness.”

Song made his debut in showbiz in 2000 as a member of the group OPPA, and has since starred in TV series like “Princess Aurora” and “Babel,” and theatrical productions such as “Guys and Dolls” and “The Phantom of the Opera”.
