Shun Oguri has been cast in the TBS drama series “LOST10”, marking his first regular role in a commercial television drama in five years.

The actor is co-starring in the drama for the first time with Ryusei Yokohama, who plays the lead as Ogoma, a police detective. Shun, on the other hand, will play Nao, a freelance insurance investigator who becomes central to the story.

The drama is set against the backdrop of Hokkaido’s magnificent landscape, where the story unfolds around the “Shikaradake Incident,” a mysterious mountaineering accident that occurred during a climbing tour and becomes the central case Ogoma is tasked with investigating.

Speaking about working for the first time together, the “Human Vapor” star said, “This is my first time working with Yokohama-kun, but he is straightforward, passionate and simply the best. The role of Ogoma suits him extremely well, and being able to watch him up close as he experiments and works through different approaches on set has been a truly rewarding experience.”

He also expressed elation over the chance to shoot the drama in Hokkaido, saying that they have already filmed at several iconic locations in the prefecture.
