Mitsuhiro Oikawa recently announced that he is now remarried and is soon to be a father.
Popularly known by his nickname Mitchy, the singer-songwriter shared the good news on his official website on 8 August, saying that he has registered his marriage to his non-showbiz partner and that his wife is currently pregnant with their first child.
“Although this may come as a sudden announcement, I would like to inform everyone that Mitsuhiro Oikawa has gotten married. In addition, a new life has come into the world and I would like to make this announcement at the same time,” he posted.
However, the 56-year-old is unwilling to share more about his wife due to her not being a part of the showbiz industry. He also appealed to the public to respect the privacy of his wife and her family, and urged the media not to approach or interview him and his wife, their family members or other people involved.
Looking ahead, he said he would continue focusing on his acting career, adding “I will continue to work hard and strive to improve myself as an actor and as Mitchy, just as I always have.”
Prior to his second marriage, Mitsuhiro was married to actress Rei Dan for seven years.
