Beatrice Fang recently took to social media to wish everybody a happy Qixi Festival, her first celebration as a single woman in so many years.
On 19 August, which marks the Chinese Valentine’s Day, the actress posted, “Happy Qixi Festival, everyone! May all those who are in love eventually find their happily-ever-after.”
“And if you’re single, don’t worry. Please love yourself, be brave and live happily. I looked at these photos myself and thought, ‘I want to fall in love with myself.’ So I deliberately saved them to post on Qixi,” she added.
Beatrice confirmed her divorce from ex-husband Johnny Yang (aka Yang Ming-wei) back on 17 August at the press conference of her new drama, “Goodbye 1987”.
She revealed that she and the actor had reached a consensus to “end the marriage” after 10 years, and that they are still good friends. She added that what they need to focus on most right now is their work and family, and that “marriage is not like an exam; there is no right answer.”
