After two years of managing his YouTube channel and sharing the inside stories of Hong Kong celebrities, Wong Jing revealed that he will be suspending his channel indefinitely.
The 71-year-old filmmaker shared the news recently, saying that he is taking a break from his YouTube channel “Wong Jing’s Laughing at the World” due to “busy work and health problems.”
“I will be very busy with work for the next few months, and my health isn’t very good, so ‘Wong Jing’s Laughing at the World’ will be on hiatus after this episode. However, I will return when I have more free time, possibly continuing ‘Wong Jing’s Laughing at the World,’ or perhaps meeting everyone on YouTube with a new theme,” he said.
Wong Jing stated that the programme may still be revived in the future, but the format is undecided. It may continue to use the original name, or he may launch a new one.
Wong Jing launched his YouTube channel “Wong Jing’s Laughing at the World” in July 2024. Besides recounting anecdotes and stories from the Hong Kong entertainment industry, the channel also invites friends from the industry to appear on the show.
