Wang Leehom recently assured that he is okay, after experiencing a concert mishap that caused an injury to his left ear.

On 4 July, following the accident, the singer took to social media to explain the situation, saying that his foot was snagged in one of his own safety cables, causing him to fall.

“My head slammed into the edge of the metal stage, and of all places, it was my left ear that took the impact. What’s worse, I happened to be wearing a very hard in-ear monitor in my left ear, and the impact shattered the cartilage in my outer ear,” he said.

Leehom said that due to the injury, he had to continue his entire performance using only his right ear.

“When you’re performing live in front of 40,000 fans, you don’t feel pain. So no, it didn’t hurt. Right after the show, I went straight to the hospital, where Professor Lee and his team took incredible care of me. They put my ear back together with 27 stitches, and another 12 stitches to close the wound on my face,” he revealed.

The singer also assured that there has been no damage to his brain or skull, and thanked everybody for their concern.
