TWICE’s Sana lands first acting role after 11 years in showbiz

TWICE’s Sana is set to make her acting debut in an upcoming Korea-Japan joint production.

The news was confirmed by JYP Entertainment on 8 July, saying that the singer, real name Sana Minatozaki, will be starring in the new movie, “Nyang-i” (working title).

According to a previous report by OSEN, ‘Nyang-i’ is a Korea-Japan co-production project which will pair Sana with Japanese actor Takeru Satoh. Director Kwon Hyuk-chan of “Secret Garden” will be in charge of the production.

Filming on location in Japan is scheduled to begin in the second half of this year.

This will mark the singer’s first ever acting project in her 11 years in showbiz.
