Lee Joon-gi was revealed to be in talks to play a role in the upcoming Netflix historical film, “Dochabi”.

On 22 June, Namoo Actors, the agency representing the actor, shared with the media, “Lee Joon-gi is positively considering appearing in the Netflix film, but nothing has been confirmed.”

If Lee confirms his appearance in “Dochabi,” it will mark his return to the big screen nearly 10 years since the release of “Never Said Goodbye” in 2016.

“Dochabi,” a historical action film whose title means “Goblin,” is garnering attention as the next project from the production company behind the box office hit “The King and the Clown”.

Expectations are further heightened as Ahn Tae-jin, who earned recognition for his directing skills with the historical film “The Night Owl,” will be directing.

Ahn and Lee also worked together before when the director was then hired as an assistant director on “The King and the Clown”.

The film is scheduled to finalise casting and begin filming in the second half of this year.
