Joe Chen recently took to social media to tell fans and friends alike that she is no fan of people visiting her while she is filming on set.

The Taiwanese actress recently took to Instagram Story to express her feelings about the issue, saying that she neither likes people visiting her while she is working nor does she like doing so to others.

“First, I hate crowded places, and I don’t like being disturbed while working, so I won’t bother others. Of course, some friends really like it when people visit the set, and if they insist, I’ll reluctantly go. It’s not a difficult thing for me,” she said.

However, Joe said that filming requires a lot of focus, especially in period dramas where the vocabulary is extensive and the grammar is different. She said that she would study the script and rhythm, rehearsing lines over and over again during breaks, and that friends visiting the set puts pressure on her as she would then have to worry about not being able to take good care of them.

“So really, there’s no need to come unless it’s absolutely necessary! Just send me a message! I love my friends. When I’m direct with you, I genuinely consider you a good friend! Don’t come to visit the set, go do your own thing. I appreciate your kindness, and I love you all too. Wouldn’t it be great to hang out together after I finish filming?” she added.

Joe, however, did not explain the reason why she decided to share her thoughts on the subject.
