Cherie Chung recently admitted that she has no plans to return to the big screen, despite interests shown by fans following the re-release of the classic 1981 film, “Once a Thief” in China.

The 66-year-old former film goddess, who attended a jewellery brand event on 2 June, laughed off the idea of making her comeback, saying that her manager had already turned down most of the offers on her behalf.

As for what kind of work might bring her back to the screen, she admitted, “At this stage, I prefer watching movies. Seeing that Hong Kong has so many excellent films and so many outstanding creators, I feel very moved.”
