Wang Yifei (aka Faye Wang) has recently announced that she is no longer with Jay Walk Studio.
Sharing the news on 20 May, the actress posted on Weibo, “Ten years ago today, I officially stepped into the warm and welcoming family of Jaywalk Studio. Ten years later, I leave Jaywalk Studio, carrying with me the warmth and support I’ve gained over the past decade, embarking on a brand new journey of my own.”
“Sixteen years ago today, when I was 21, I was both bewildered and apprehensive about signing a contract to become an actor and the long ten-year commitment. Ten years later, I’d be 31. Would I still be an actor? Maybe I’d be married by then. I was too young and really didn’t have much of a concept of this industry; everything seemed uncertain. But I had a burning passion and the fearless determination of a newborn calf. So, with the thought, ‘Let’s give it a try and see if I have the potential and ability to find a better version of myself,’ I embraced Jaywalk Studio and entered this industry.”
Wang said that looking back, she has been incredibly lucky to be where she is now.
“I’m also grateful that in this complex environment, I’ve retained the most genuine, pure, and important qualities within me. I think there’s still so much for me to learn and improve upon in the future; perhaps this is just the beginning. I’m grateful for every step I’ve taken, clumsy yet sincere, and I’m also grateful to the company for nurturing and supporting me over the past ten years,” she added.
