It was revealed that ITZY’s Yeji will not be able to fully participate in upcoming performances due to her health situation.
On 5 May, JYP Entertainment revealed that the singer has been diagnosed with a herniated disc.
“Yeji recently visited a hospital due to back pain, and after a detailed examination, she was diagnosed with a herniated disc and received a specialist’s opinion that she should minimise movements that strain her back,” said JYP’s rep.
This also means that her choreography for the ‘ITZY 3RD WORLD TOUR in JAPAN’ to be held on 9 and 10 May will be restricted.
The agency added, “Depending on the artiste’s active will, we intend to participate in stage performances as much as possible within feasible limits to meet the fans.”
JYP also apologised to the fans who have been waiting for Yeji’s performance, adding that they will prioritise the artiste’s health above all else and make every effort to ensure sufficient treatment and recovery.
