Ryoko Hirosue is set to return to work following her previous indefinite hiatus.
The singer-actress, who suspended her projects after being involved in a rear-end collision on a highway, and being diagnosed with bipolar disorder and hyperthyroidism in April last year, shared the news on her official website.
She stated, “Although this is a personal matter, I would like to inform you that I will be resuming my activities this spring. I would like to once again apologise for causing everyone so much worry. At the same time, I am deeply grateful for all the encouraging words I have received.”
She added, “After taking a break, I have not only recovered my health but have also been given the opportunity to slowly reflect on myself, which has been a valuable time and opportunity in my life.”
Ryoko said that while she is fully recognising her own weaknesses and characteristics, she would like to explore what kind of work and involvement she can do next and expressed hope that fans will continue to support her endeavours.
