Johnny Huang and Wang Yuwen have denied rumours that they are now in a relationship.
The whole issue started after Chinese paparazzi Liu Dachui recently dropped a bombshell, teasing that he would reveal the current relationship status of a top celebrity couple, one who is a “post-90s generation” and the other a “post-95s generation.”
Soon after, he released a footage of Johnny and Wang on what looked like a late-night date, before the two went to a bar to party until late at night.
Notably, after the event, they left the scene side by side and returned to their hotel together in a car.
In response to the rumours, Johnny’s studio released a short statement, saying, “Thank you for your attention. The content circulating online is untrue; it was just a normal gathering among friends, and there is no need to overinterpret it.”
At the same time, Wang Yuwen’s side also issued a clarification, saying, “The online ‘revelation’ is untrue. It was just normal social interaction and company after a dinner with friends.”
They stressed that Johnny and Wang are just friends and ask for the fans to not think too much about it.
