Fans’ wish of seeing Takuya Kimura back in a Hong Kong movie is dashed, after it was reported that the Japanese star will not be involved in the sequel of “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In”.
The actor, who was previously rumoured to be joining the second part of the successful film, reportedly has shelved his plans to make a Hong Kong comeback, following the ongoing conflict between China and Japan.
It was also reported that Daniel Wu will be joining the project instead, with the film to begin filming this month. The actor will be starring alongside Louis Koo and Aarok Kwok, the latter who made a special guest appearance in the first film.

Sources claimed that Takuya had actually agreed to star in the sequel last year. He allegedly had received the script and had begun training to prepare for the project.
The actor was first and last seen in a Hong Kong film in 2004, when he starred alongside Tony Leung in “2046”.
