Sisley Choi has recently dismissed the idea that her departure from TVB was related to the feeling of disappointment towards the broadcaster.
The actress, who attended her first public event on 15 March following news of her leaving the company, stated that the company supports her venturing out.
She revealed that her contract expired at the beginning of the year, and she only made the announcement after processing her feelings.
When asked if TVB had tried to retain her, Sisley emphasised that she had a good understanding and relationship with TVB. She said it was her desire to venture out, and the company agreed with her decision.
She also stated that they would contact her again if needed in the future, adding, “We discussed it together, like talking to my parents about studying abroad, and they agreed to let me go and try it out.”
As for now, the actress said that she is discussing collaborations with other companies and is temporarily trying to negotiate work independently, aiming to break into the film industry.
When asked about reports that she has someone to take care of her, Sisley laughed and said, “I have parents and friends to take care of, in fact, for many years we are living in the same house. Please continue to pay attention to my subsequent works.”
