Fish Liew has grabbed another Best Actress award for her performance in “Someone Like Me,” following the previous recognition from the 32nd Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards.
The Malaysian actress recently appeared at the Hong Kong Film Directors’ Guild Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony, where she received similar accolade for her performance in the movie from presenter and her idol, Sammi Cheng.
Speaking about the honour, Fish said that she was surprised to be getting much love from the Hong Kong awards committees.

When mentioned that she is now the female equivalent of Dayo Wong, after her movies like “Night King,” “A Guilty Conscience” and “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” are also box office successes, the actress responded, “Don’t say that. Dayo Wong is the one who carries the box office. If he’s the driver, I’m just a crew member or passenger who happened to hitch a ride on a HKD 100 million box office success. Maybe I did a lot of good deeds in my past life.”
When asked if she considers herself a lucky charm in the film industry, Fish replied, “I really like the moniker ‘lucky charm.’ I hope everyone thinks I’m lucky and will cast me in more films.”
