Ella Chen couldn’t help but cry upon hearing news that music producer John Yuan Wei-jen has passed away.
The singer, who was speaking to the media at an event, revealed that she had a deep connection with Yuan as he took care of her and taught her a lot from since the early days of her career.
“I hope he rests in peace, his soul is at peace, no longer limited by his body, and continues to do what he wanted to do in the universe. Everyone should remember him,” she expressed.
Ella also said that she will definitely attend his memorial service if the family is willing to hold one.
On the other hand, Matilda Tao, who was attending the unveiling of Barbie Hsu’s statue at the Chin Pao San cemetery, was shocked upon hearing the news of Yuan’s death, which coincided with the anniversary of Barbie’s passing.
“I just cried this afternoon, but now my eyes are overflowing with tears again,” she expressed.
