Elena Kong has recently dismissed the notion that she was trying to climb the social ladder after she became good friends with fellow actress Isabella Leong.
The small screen star, who sat down for an interview recently, shared that she actually met Isabella through her own conversion to Buddhism.
“Actually, I received a message on Instagram from someone named Isabella Leong. She said, ‘I really want to learn Buddhism and I want to learn it with you.’ I immediately called Michelle Lo and asked her if it was a scam, to make sure it was Isabella,” she said.
Elena admitted that she was amazed by Isabella’s beauty upon meeting the actress, and they gradually become friends.
She added that Isabella saw her meditating on the show “One on One” and took the initiative to get to know her.
When asked why Isabella chose her as a friend, Elena laughed and said, “I asked her, and she said she thought I was a good person, not a bad one.”
