In another edition of “celebrities are just like us,” Charmaine Sheh couldn’t help but express elation over getting a selfie with the Hong Kong icon himself, Chow Yun Fat.
The actress recently went on a Lunar New Year dinner, which was also attended by celebrity friends like Athena Chu, Michael Miu and his wife, Ron Ng, Bosco Wong and the legendary Hong Kong star. She later took to social media to share what she revealed to be her first selfie with Chow.
In her post, Charmaine revealed how much a fan she is of Chow, and shared a memory of when she met him in 2000.
“I remember getting a call from a senior executive in the Artiste Department, who told me to attend a training class the next day. I was totally confused and said, ‘A class? I have work!’ I still remember him saying, ‘Just go, we’ve arranged it around your schedule.’ I was thinking, ‘Why do I have to attend a class out of nowhere? I’m exhausted!’ The next day, I reluctantly went. Since I’d never attended a training class before, I even got lost trying to find the place.”
“When I entered the classroom, of course I didn’t know anyone. It was so awkward. I casually found a seat and sat down. Before the chair even got warm, I jumped up again! Because it turned out that Fa Gor himself was teaching that class! Ben Chan knew that Fa Gor is my idol, so he deliberately arranged for me to attend (so thoughtful of him),” she added.
Charmaine said that she was delighted when Chow said that he knew who she was, seeing that he has watched her drama, “Return of the Cuckoo”.
“As a little fan, even though I haven’t had the chance to work with him, just taking a photo together already feels so romantic and heartwarming!” she added.
