“Squid Game” might have ended, but South Korean show creator Hwang Dong-hyuk’s collaboration with Netflix is far from over.

The streamer has recently revealed Hwang’s first project following the conclusion of the “Squid Game” trilogy, which is the new South Korean series, “The Dealer,” starring Jung So-min, Ryoo Seung-bum, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Ryu Kyung-soo.

However, Hwang is not directing the series. The showrunner will be producing the project that marks the directorial debut of Choi Young-hwan, the acclaimed cinematographer behind many major hits such as “Smugglers,” “Veteran,” “Tazza: The High Rollers,” and “The Thieves.”

The series will star Jung So-min as Jung Geonhwa, an exceptionally adept and seasoned dealer who has lived a life far removed from the vices of the casino floor.

The logline read, “Geonhwa finds her life upended when a housing scam derails her newlywed plans. Forced into the underworld she’s avoided, she unleashes the full extent of her powers to the test.”
