Beauty blogger Han Anran (aka Abby Han) and husband Song Haoran’s Douyin accounts have been banned.
On 12 January, several netizens posted that the two Chinese social media influencers, who together have an accumulated 4.6 million followers, have been banned for “violating community guidelines.”
In a statement shared on Weibo, she wrote, “I think it’s a good thing for me too, it’s time to reflect and calm down. I’m sorry to everyone who has supported me.”

While there was no official statement as to why they were banned, media outlets reported that Abby was recently embroiled in a controversy for giving away Apple products in a live stream but actually sending used Huawei phones instead.
Abby has previously issued two separate statements on social media in response to the matter. She emphasised that all Apple phones and tablets were purchased from physical stores, and admitted that 10 second-hand Huawei tablets had indeed been mixed in with the previous lucky draw, but all of them had been given away, and from now on, she would “only give away brand new ones”.
26-year-old Abby has been married and divorced three times, earning her the nickname “marriage review blogger” among netizens. In December 2022, Abby and Song Haoran, who is three years younger than her, officially announced their relationship and tied the knot a few months later.
The news of the ban has been celebrated by many of their critics, who claimed that Abby and Song have been using their social media platforms for their petty fights and threatening divorce against one another, and using their supposed marital woes as a way to attract viewers.
