Nearly a year after she surprised many by announcing the birth of her child, Emma Wu (aka Gui Gui) took to social media to express her thoughts on the experience of being a mother.
On 9 January, the Taiwanese singer-actress posted several never-before-seen photos of her with her daughter, and wrote, “Being a mum for a year – almost two now. Half of that time was as two hearts living together, and the other half was as two humans living together.”
“So many of her first times exist alongside my own first times. Having a child truly feels like I’m accompanying her as she grows up all over again, and only then did I realise this is how I myself grew up,” she expressed.
Gui Gui said that she loves every moment that she shared with her daughter, even though she sometimes forgot that she has a child.
“I will work hard, take you to see more beautiful things, and be by your side as you go through every one of your magical moments,” she added.
It was back in early 2025 that Gui Gui dropped a bombshell on the entertainment industry, announcing that she had given birth to a daughter, and keeping mum on the identity of the child’s father.
