As the world continues to speculate about the fallout between him and the Beckham family, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham recently took to Instagram Story to share a series of posts detailing why he is not reconciling with the family.
Brooklyn, who is the eldest child of Sir David Beckham and wife Lady Victoria, accused the two of them of trying to ruin his relationship with his wife Nicola, and place lies after lies in the media to smear his and Nicola’s good name.
Stating that he has no choice but to speak for himself, the 26-year-old stressed that he is actually standing up for himself for the first time in his life.
Among the accusations made by Brooklyn include:
1. Alleging his mother cancelled designing Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute, forcing her to find an alternative, and trying to pressure and bribe him into signing away the rights to his name before his wedding, which he said would have affected his and Nicola’s future.
2. Saying his mother hijacked his first dance with his wife and behaved inappropriately on the dance floor, leaving him humiliated.
3. Accusing his family of disrespecting Nicola, including not inviting her to David’s 50th birthday and rejecting attempts to spend quality time together and inviting women from his past into their lives to make him and his wife uncomfortable.
4. Claiming that family members, including his siblings, were sent to attack him on social media and later blocked him.
Stating that brand Beckham comes first to his parents before love and family, Brooklyn added, “I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared”.
