Following the departure of 91-year-old veteran actress Helena Law Lan due to her contract not being renewed, it was revealed that her “The Fading Gold” co-star Roger Kwok has also left TVB.
Rumours of the actor’s departure sparked after netizens noticed that his information was also missing from TVB’s official website, just like his veteran co-star.
When asked about it, the three-time TV King confirmed it, saying, “After being an artiste for so many years, I think the happiest and most fulfilling thing is having choices. Being able to decide your own path is the best thing. I hope to meet everyone on more channels in the future.”

When asked about the reason for leaving TVB, Roger said, “I won’t say the reason, you can guess!”
As for his future plans, the 61-year-old said he would talk about it later, emphasising that he wouldn’t focus on one thing. He added that he would consider acting in any drama series that offers him a role.
It is noted that Roger had been with TVB for nearly 40 years, starting with the 1986 series, “City Story”.
