Yet another Malaysia inspired special edition of Monopoly has been released, this time based on the country’s capital, Kuala Lumpur.
The new board game, dubbed Monopoly: Kuala Lumpur edition was released at KLIA, as part of the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign. Developed by Winning Moves, the board game features multiple famous locations in Malaysia’s capital city, including Bukit Bintang, Kampung Baru and the famous Petronas Twin Towers. The Community Chest and Chance cards will also contain local context such as instructions to pay RM50 for laksa and nasi lemak.
Monopoly Kuala Lumpur edition will be sold at prominent stores in Malaysia:

Malaysia Airports, the operator of KLIA, will also be releasing an exclusive, limited-edition travel-sized version of the board game available only at Malaysia Airports.
Besides the Kuala Lumpur edition, there are also other Malaysian inspired Monopoly boards like the refreshed Malaysia Monopoly edition, the Monopoly Penang edition and the Universiti Malaya edition. Even the local scarf brand dUCK has its own limited-edition version of the board game!
